Remote Forever - Employment Law Attorney
Our Legal client is looking for an Employment Law Attorney. They proudly represent workers—and only workers—fighting for justice in cases of harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage disputes, and more. They serve clients across California with honesty, aggression, and strategic precision.
They also have an exceptional culture, ensuring attorneys can focus on the most important tasks. With a 1:1 attorney-to-paralegal ratio, they maintain this standard to support their attorneys effectively and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management and Strategy:
- Manage a full caseload independently, owning cases from intake to settlement or trial.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the CEO and bi-weekly meetings with the COO to align on case strategy and resource allocation.
- Strategically handle cases with a settlement velocity goal of 4 to 7 cases per month, focusing on achieving high-value outcomes.
- Collaborate with shared services for drafting demand letters and complaints, allowing attorneys to prioritize higher-value tasks.
Client Interaction:
- Provide exceptional client service by being responsive and available, with a commitment to answering client calls live.
- Work closely with clients to negotiate settlements and provide legal advice aligned with their goals.
Innovation and Technology:
- Leverage AI tools for drafting and document preparation, including using AI for first and eventual final drafts of legal documents.
- Embrace the firm's virtual culture by using tools like Slack, WhatsApp, and Zoom for communication and collaboration.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and agile environment that values responsiveness and open communication.
- Participate in calibration processes for matching candidates and provide feedback to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in California.
- 3+ years of experience in employment law, preferably representing employees.
- Strong litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and trial preparation.
- Passion for advocating for workers and holding employers accountable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to strategic, aggressive, and ethical legal practices.
